If there is one thing every webmaster and business owner wants for their website its more traffic.

Without traffic a website is, for all intents and purposes, invisible.

That said, the key to building your website traffic is by building back links.

See, getting your site designed is only the beginning. Getting your site promoted is where 80% of your efforts need to go. Most people don’t like to do back linking. But given its effectiveness, it should definitely be a part of your daily activities.

The good news is that it doesn’t have to be hard at all. There are three simple ways you can start promoting your site by getting quality links that search engines will love (and use to rank you above your competition!):

1. Guest post on relevant blogs in your niche. This is a highly-effective way of promoting your site and getting noticed not only by the search engines but by your target audience. The best way to start is to compile a list of the most popular and well-read blogs in your niche. Find the contact information of the blog owner. Then, write the best blog post you can, and send it along in an email to each blog owner to see if they’ll post your content. Not all will say yes, but even if just one actually does post your content, it will go a long way in improving your rankings and your site’s visibility.

google_ad_channel = “7940249670, ” + AB_cat_channel + AB_unit_channel;
google_language = “en”;
google_ad_region = ‘test’;

2. Employ an article marketing campaign. This isn’t for the faint of heart, but if you’re up to writing every day (or gasp, maybe even enjoy it!) then article marketing is an excellent way to build links and targeted traffic to your site. Write at least one article every day on a topic that is both relevant and interesting to your niche’s target audience. Once you’ve written the article, submit it to a few of the top article directories.

3. Start using social media. Social media is quickly becoming a MUST when it comes to not only link building, but also getting noticed in your market. That means you’ll have to be active on sites like Facebook.com and Twitter.com. Don’t worry, being social on these sites isn’t hard and doesn’t take that much time. Even a small “blurb” every day can do the trick. The goal here is to get a “buzz” going around your site and have people share your links with THEIR social circles.

So there you have it. These are the 3 simplest and most effective ways to start building links to your site in order to get the levels of traffic you want.

These methods are definitely favored by the search engines and will give you the most natural link profile possible.

Other than that, just realize that link building should be done on a regular basis and it takes quite a bit of time before you’ll see results.

Think of it like an investment. You’ll be contributing to it over time, through your article and content writing. Keep “adding” into your account, so to speak, and eventually it WILL gain momentum and start to produce for you.
